Every year the wine is stored in new oak casks. The Domaine Clarence Dillon is linked with the cooper of Merpins, Seguin-Moreau.

A full time cooper is employed at Haut-Brion. He builds 4 to 5 barrels a day on average to meet the annual need of 1,000 new barrels.
